Amazonian's Delight

One artist who has always stood out for me is none other than the great Frank Frazetta. Not only were his paintings and sketches full of life, but they also told stories and set moods. In this Frazetta-inspired drawing I try to capture the beautiful Amazon. I like to think that she is on trek across the frozen mountains, and has run into some sort of danger. Maybe a snowbeast? Who knows? I left this one in it's rough stages as I plan to try and make a finished, color version, which of course is going to take me a little bit longer to do. Enjoy this until then.

I have a how to ruin a home business site/blog that i'm needlessly spamming your nice, obviously personal blog with. It's called http://www.goscrewyourself.com

cool amazon there. i like the nice curving shapes you gave on the legs. also your pose is very classic Frazetta, very cool. you might pull the neck in a bit and tilt her head a little; it's almost verticle. Also check your angle / forshortening on her right arm with the spear. if she's holding the spear way back behind her hips, her shoulder and upper arm would be swung further back. also maybe draw in the feet so you get a better sense of weight in her stance; you can always erase em in the cleanup. nice work; i wanna see the next revision of it.

I can see the Frazetta inspiration. I won't criticize it other than say: why do you have to make her suffer so, if it's FREEZIN' COLD OUTSIDE?!
